A people oppressed and raped by one of the biggest dictators in the world, the Turkish president ERDOGAN, which nevertheless celebrates en masse praising the victory … The area used for the Newroz is cordoned off and surrounded by a disproportionate number of policemen who search thoroughly the participants, forbidding them to bring any flag or accessory with the colors of Kurdistan: yellow, red and green. Despite humiliations and flags trampled with contempt by the agents, many manage to bring in the Kurdish banners. We foreigners are few and hindered to check points … we can bring testimonies at home inconvenient to the Turkish government. After about an hour and a half of negotiations (I had in their opinion a photographic equipment too “professional”), I can enter and enjoy a party never seen before: dances, songs, smiles and endless choirs. Despite Afrin, a city destroyed by an army second only to that of the United States (army armed mainly with German and Italian weapons), the Kurdish people appear in hundreds of thousands to Newroz to reiterate, once again, their unity and his own idea of a free and revolutionary society diametrically opposed to what Erdogan wants to impose. A president, Erdogan, who continues to violate human rights by killing and arresting activists, public officials and journalists, closing down TV and print media, in the silence of the rest of the world … But despite this the Kurdish people celebrate in mass praising the victory… An indescribable emotion…
